ROHTAK: Union minister of steel Birender Singh on Sunday said he would have jailed former chief minister (CM) Bhupinder Singh Hooda by now had he been the state’s CM.

He was addressing CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s ‘Sushasan’ rally in Hooda’s constituency, Sampla.

Attacking Hooda he said, “Instead of working for the development of the state, Hooda opened his property dealing shop in Gurgaon and earned crores. CM Khattar is innocent. If I was the CM, I would have jailed Hooda in one go. In 10 years of his tenure, he not only betrayed Haryana, but also his own constituency which is deprived of development.”

Singh added that he may contest elections from Hooda’s constituency next time.

Responding to Hooda’s recent statement that he will not campaign for the Congress in upcoming Punjab assembly elections if Captain Amarinder

Earlier addressing the rally, Khattar announced projects worth ₹388 crore for the constituency.

Attacking Hooda, Khattar said, “Hooda pretended he has made his constituency as good as Paris. However, on ground it was a lie. People here are upset and longing for development.”
