Heroin worth ₹5 cr seized from goods train at Attari

AMRITSAR : The customs staff posted at Attari railway station on Wednesday seized about one-kg heroin pegged at worth ₹5 crore in the international market from a goods train coming from Pakistan.

Commissioner of customs (preventative) Capt Sanjay Gahlot said, “One-kg contraband suspected to be heroin has been seized by the custom officers. It was concealed inside the pressure cylinder of the railway wagon.”
