AGGRESSIVE IPS LOBBY

Para-Military Force (PMF) and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel are headed by Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, except Assam Rifles (AR). All these forces are under the direct administrative and operational control of home ministry except AR, which is under the control of defence ministry. Transparency is missing in all these organisations and cadre officers have limited say in most of the key decisions matters. The IPS lobby has bagged lucrative mid and top posts in most of these organisations. The officers are not in sync with the forces at the ground, leading to faux pass. BRIG BS GILL, CHANDIGARH
