TACKLING STRAY DOGS

The recent killing of a four-yearold in Amritsar by stray dogs highlights the need to take strong measures, including culling, to curb the menace. How long will we remain mute spectators? Half-hearted remedies such as dog sterilisation are impractical. Punjab should take the lead and show the will to tackle this problem. Dr Ranbir Singh Pannu, Amritsar
