BJP flags off Parivartan Yatra to highlight Cong govt’s failures
DHARAMSHALA : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a Parivartan Rath Yatra on Sunday, a public outreach programme to highlight the failures of the Congress government and ‘mafia raj’ under its regime.
Split to four segments, with each Lok Sabha constituency having its own rath, a specially designed vehicle. Kangra leg of the yatra was launched by Union minister of state for ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy Sripad Yesso Naik from Baijnath. Kangra MP and former union minister Shanta Kumar will lead the campaign in Kangra.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar flagged-off the Mandileg from the town where state BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti was also present.
In Shimla, the yatra was launched by Uttrakhand CM Trivendera Singh Rawat from Haripurdhar of Sirmour district, with former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal leading it.
Union minister for health JP Nadda along with state BJP in-charge Mangal Pandey flagged of the yatra in Hamirpur segment from Naina Devi of Bilasput district. The 20-day campaign will cover all 68 assembly constituencies, spread across four Lok Sabha constituencies.
A seven-member committee has been formed in each constituency to look after the arrangements for the yatra while a state-level steering committee will oversee the overall campaign. The yatra will pass through dedicated routes in every assembly constituency. There will be more than 300 public meetings where BJP leaders will highlight the ‘failures’ of the Congress government.
