SIWANI TO BE SHIFTED TO HISAR DISTRICT FROM BHIWANI

ROHTAK: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced to shift Siwani subdivision from Bhiwani district to Hisar.

Speaking at a ‘Van Mahotsav’ programme at Siwani, Khattar asked gram panchayats in the sub-division to take a collective decision about which of them wanted to come under Hisar so that there was no geographical hurdles.

The decision comes in the wake of area residents’ demand for inclusion of the sub-division in Hisar, as they had to travel 65 km to reach Bhiwani headquarters. Hisar is closer at 30 km.

Earlier last year, the CM had carved Charkhi Dadri district out of Bhiwani. HTC
