AAP to hold ‘dharm yudh sammelan’ in K’shetra on Nov 1
CHANDIGARH: In order to highlight the alleged failures of the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government, the Haryana unit of Aam Aadami Party (AAP) will organise a ‘dharm yudh sammelan’ in Kurukshetra on November 1, AAP state president Navin Jaihind said on Saturday.
Addressing mediapersons here, Jaihind alleged that the state government has failed to fulfil any of its 188 promises made before coming to power three years ago.
Jaihind, who played a 15-minute documentary showing adverse comments of some farmers and other people on the performance of the state government, said a full-fledged film will be screened at the sammelan in Kurukshetra.
To a question, he said several AAP leaders, including Delhi transport minister Gopal Rai, will address the gathering on this occasion.
Alleging that all sections of society feel frustrated because of the failures of the government, he said the ruling BJP failed to check violent agitations, corruption or assault on media-persons during the past three years.
He also lambasted the opposition parties — the Congress and the Indian National Lok Dal —for allegedly failing to aptly highlight the failures of the Khattar government. The state unit of AAP will also announce its plans for the forthcoming assembly elections at the Kurukshetra event, he added.
