Govt to organise job fairs for eligible youth: CM
AMBALA:Chief minister Manohar Lal on Thursday said the state government would organise job fairs across Haryana for giving permanent employment to the eligible youth.
Khattar said this while talking during a programme ‘Dialogue with CM’. He said the eligibility-II scheme is also being started in which skill training would be given to the graduate and postgraduate degree holders outside the state under the ‘ Skill India’ scheme.
The CM said under the scheme, 49,995 eligible youths registered and 43,246 applications were accepted while 31,389 have been adjusted in different departments, boards and corporations on honorarium basis.
He said the shortlisted candidates would be given 100-day work in a year and they will also be given training under the skill development proramme to make them eligible for employment in private sector jobs and other professions.
The Vishwakarma Skill Development University has been established in Palwal district which is first-of-its-kind in the country and would award degrees up to PhD level, the chief minister said.
He said in the last three years, 13,000 government jobs have been given on merit basis, adding that recruitment for 50,000 others were underway and the interview system for the Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts has been done away with.
