Woman, paramour held for killing her motherinlaw

ABOHAR: A woman, with the help of her paramour, allegedly murdered her mother-in-law in Abohar, a sub-division of Fazilka district, on Monday. Police have booked and arrested the accused. Shardha Devi, 60, was living with her son Darshan in Abohar. Her daughter-in-law and Darshan’s wife Sunita developed illicit relations with Parveen Kumar. The duo strangled Shardha to death on Sunday night as she was becoming hindrance in their relationship, it is alleged. The two dumped her body in a vacant plot, police have said.
