62yrold speechimpaired woman raped in Patiala

PATIALA: A 62-year-old speech impaired woman was raped in Diwanawala village of Sanaur assembly segment in Patiala district.

Police said the incident took place on January 12 but the complaint was filed on Sunday, following which a case was registered against Lakhvir Singh, 35. The police arrested the accused. “Medical examination has confirmed rape,” he said.

The victim suffered speech disorder due to a paralysis a decade ago.

BATHINDA:A six year old girl was allegedly raped at a village under Rama police station on Sunday. The police have registered a case against Mandar Singh who called the victim to fields and raped her.
