Probe after scribe’s body taken in garbage truck
BENGALURU: Facing a media uproar after a journalist’s body was transported in a garbage truck, chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday ordered an inquiry into the incident by the Inspector General of Police for the Western Range. Mounesh Potharaj, a journalist working for a Kannada news channel, died in a road accident near Hangal town on Sunday. However, when his body was to be shifted to a hospital, the police on the spot decided to call for a garbage tractor rather than an ambulance.
