POLICE FILE CHALLAN IN SIRSA DERA FOLLOWER MURDER CASE

FARIDKOT: Police here have filed the challan in a local court in the case of murder of Dera Sacha Sauda follower Gurdev Singh, 35, who was gunned down in 2016 allegedly by Gurpreet Singh, Ashok Kumar and Jaswant Singh at Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village, 25 km from the town. The challan claims that the accused confessed during the interrogation that they throw the murder weapon in the Rajasthan canal after the crime. After the murder, tension prevailed in the village as it had hit the headlines for second time after the desecration of a ‘bir’ or copy of the Guru Granth Sahib stolen from a gurdwara in 2015. The case is been registered under section 302 and others as per the Indian Penal Code.
