Fresh charges framed against Bhola, others

MOHALI : A special CBI court on Tuesday clubbed three enforcement case information reports (ECIRs) filed by the ED and framed fresh charges against 13 accused, including drug lord Jagdish Bhola and his five family members.

Following an application filed by the ED, special judge NS Gill on Tuesday clubbed the ERICs and framed fresh charges against the accused under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The accused included Bhola’s father Balshinder Singh, Avtar Singh and his wife, Bittu Aulakh and his wife and mother, Sukhdev Singh and his mother, and Baljeet Singh. Earlier, the court framed charges against Bhola and his Canadian aide Sukhraj Singh, alias Raja.
