2 booked for killing man during scuffle
AMRITSAR : The Verka police of Amritsar district booked two persons for allegedly killing a man during a scuffle at Preet Nagar in Amritsar on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Gopal Singh, 45, of Preet Nagar while the accused were identified as Surjit Singh and Suraj of the same locality.
In her complaint, the deceased’s wife, Suman, said a fight ensued between the accused and her son Lovepreet Singh in the street. “My husband intervened to sort it out but the accused thrashed him terribly before he fell unconscious.”
He was declared brought dead at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.
