GMAC launches Admission Institute
NEW DELHI: The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) recently launched the India edition of Admissions Institute , a global event that was first launched in the US and Europe over a decade ago.
The admissions institute is an intensive programme conducted for admission team members of B-schools to help them learn about nuances of admissions as well as engage with their peers on a single platform.
However, since the cost of travel to the US was an impediment, GMAC created the Admission Institute in India, the first edition of which was co-hosted by Indian School of Business, Hyderabad in December 2017.
B-schools in attendance included ISB, Indian Institute of Management Indore, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi, MISB Bocconi, Universal Business School and ISBR Bangalore.
“A small number of schools were invited this year for the pilot edition though we plan on a larger batch from next year,” said Gaurav Srivastava, regional director, South Asia, GMAC.
