Canada’s New Democratic Party chief Jagmeet Singh, 38, got engaged to Indianorigin fashion designer Gurkiran Kaur on Tuesday. Singh — the first minority community politician to lead a federal party in Canada — proposed to Kaur, 27, at a private party on Tuesday. CBC reported he surprised Kaur by popping the question in front of family and friends at a restaurant where they had their first date.
