BSP CORPORATOR SURRENDERS COW
BSP corporator Abdul Gaffar (left) hands over his cow to the police in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) corporator and a resident of Manzoor Nagar locality here, said he had no option but to hand over the cow to save himself from attacks by cow vigilantes or landing in jail for no fault of his. He said his sister had gifted him the cow two years ago. On Tuesday, he went to the Nauchandi police station and requested the SHO Sanjay Kumar to keep the cow as he didn’t feel safe under the prevailing condition. He, however, clarified that his act had nothing to do with his party as it was his personal decision.
