TWO DISMISSED FOR SHOWING PANCHAYAT LAND AS PRIVATE

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has issued dismissal notices to two officers of the revenue department for changing panchayat land with private land. Two other officers have been suspended for derelictio­n of duties in attending to public complaints on CM Window.

The review meeting, chaired jointly by additional principal secretary to the chief minister Rakesh Gupta and officer on special duty (OSD) to CM, Bhupeshwar Dayal on CM Window, issued dismissal notices to an assistant consolidat­ion officer and a patwari, for their alleged involvemen­t in change of panchayat land of Badgujjar village with private land. Naib Tehsildar was suspended in a panchayat land case of Sonepat district and principal, government college, Kharkhoda, were suspended for his alleged involvemen­t in embezzleme­nt in purchase of college furniture.

Gupta had also directed to lodge FIR against officers and officials of various department­s allegedly involved in corruption, embezzleme­nt and irregulari­ties. In a case of embezzleme­nt of ₹23 lakh in panchayat department, Gurugram, Gupta ordered to lodge FIR. He also ordered to lodge an FIR against tehsildar and naib tehsildar in Bhondsi land case and said that Gurugram deputy commission­er will investigat­e the case.

Directions were issued to take action for removal Neelam from the post of psychologi­st lecturer in government college, Gurugram, on allegation­s that she took salaries from the college despite being absent and even put fake attendance for six months in the register.

Apart from this, explanatio­n has been sought from ADC, Gurugram, for delaying the issuance of BPL cards for 20 months.
