25-year-old Tarn Taran man murdered

TARNTARAN: A 24-year-old youth, Lovepreet Singh, was allegedly murdered with sharp-edged weapons during wee hours on Friday at Marhi Nau Abad village falling in Bhikhiwind police station amid dispute with his wife, Sukhjit Kaur.

In a complaint, the deceased’s mother Kulwinder Kaur stated that her son was sleeping in the courtyard of the house when some persons entered the house and attacked her son with sharpedged weapons, killing him on the spot. “A case has been registered against one Karamjit Singh, a resident of Algon Kothi village, and his unidentified aides under sections 302 (murder) of the IPC”, said DSP (Bhikhwind) Sulakhan Singh Mann.
