Five govt officials suspended in J&K
JAMMU: Five government officials were placed under suspension for dereliction of duty in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district.
The action was taken by the district development commissioner, Samba, Rajinder Singh Tara, during a surprise inspection of various government offices, including the municipal committee office, animal husbandry department, agriculture department in Bari Brahmana area, an official spokesman said, adding that Tara checked the attendance registers and found five employees absent. Taking strong note of the absenteeism, the DDC suspended absentee employees, four from municipal committee and one from the animal husbandry department with an immediate effect, the spokesman said.
During his visit, Tara interacted with the employees of various government offices and called for maintaining punctuality, regularity and adherence to office timings, he said.
