Industrial Model Township to be set up in Mahendergarh: CM
MAHENDERGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday said an Industrial Model Township (IMT) will be established at Khatodada village in Mahendergarh district and announced a grant of Rs 250 crore for various development works in the assembly constituency.
At a public meeting in Mahendergarh, he said the state government has been ensuring equal development of all areas in the state and has introduced a number of schemes for welfare of all sections of the society.
Regarding the demands of the area put forth by the education minister Ram Bilas Sharma, the chief minister said that drinking water schemes at a cost of Rs 123 crore would be implemented in different ‘dhanis’ of the Mahendragarh area.
Apart from this, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board would construct 50-km long connecting roads in the area, Khattar said according to the release.
He also announced that a government senior secondary school for girls in the old building of Government College for Women at Mahendragarh city would be set up, besides establishing a skill development centre in that school.
He said out of the various development works announced by the chief minister, 80% had been completed and work for the remaining was under progress.
Sharma said the agriculture sector would be strengthened with the increase in MSP of crops and bajra growers of the area would be benefitted with this enhancement in MSP.
