‘Don’t ham­per aca­demic func­tion­ing of pvt schools’

CHANDIGARH: The Pun­jab and Haryana High Court on Fri­day di­rected Haryana Staff Se­lec­tion Com­mis­sion (HSSC) not to ham­per the aca­demic func­tion­ing of pri­vate schools in Haryana while hold­ing their up­com­ing re­cruit­ment tests to the posts of Class III and IV em­ploy­ees in th­ese schools.

The com­mis­sion last month is­sued or­ders to use pri­vate schools in dif­fer­ent dis­tricts as their ex­am­i­na­tion cen­tres for its writ­ten tests on No­vem­ber 10 and No­vem­ber 17.Schools how­ever chal­lenged the or­der say­ing that the com­mis­sion was forc­ing them to close their schools on those dates in vi­o­la­tion of pro­vi­sions of the Haryana School Ed­u­ca­tion Rules, 2003, as well as CBSE Af­fil­i­a­tion By-Laws.
