ERASING NEHRU’S LEGACY

There is no denying the fact that the government is trying to erase the legacy of first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He is a pivotal figure in India’s history and it was him who laid down the seeds of modern India. Experts from time to time have been appreciating the Nehruvian socialism and its positive impact. It was only because of the ideas of secularism, centralised planning and non-alignment propounded by Nehru that Indian democracy has sustained through the turbulent phases.
