JUSTICE ELUDES SIKHS

Apropos ‘Delegation meets Kovind over notifying name of SIT member’, (HT, Nov 14), it is a shame for our democracy that even 34 years after the massacre of Sikhs in 1984, justice has eluded the community. Not even a single convict has been sent to the gallows. This reflects a collective failure of our democratic institutions — the legislature, the executive, the judiciary and the media. Successive governments have failed to deliver justice to the Sikh community. Sham Murari Sharma
