MSME’s regional office to be set up in Amritsar: Rana Sodhi
AMRITSAR: A regional office of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) will be established in the city to encourage the MSME sector in the border areas of the state and location for the same has been earmarked, minister for sports and youth affairs, Punjab, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi said here on Friday.
The minister was addressing industrialists and other participants during the MSME conclave at the five-day Punjab International Trade Expo-2018 being held at Ranjit Avenue by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Nation building can be done only by strengthening the small, medium and micro industries, Sodhi said, adding, “Punjab government has prepared a special plan for the industrial development of the border districts. The state government is committed to make Punjab an industrial hub.” “Work for establishing the regional office has been started. With its establishment, the industrialists need not to approach Ludhiana or other cities for their problems,” director MSME, Major Singh said. HTC
