Huawei executive’s arrest is a rogue act, says China

BEIJING: Chinese media on Friday condemned the arrest in Canada of Meng Wanzhou, the CFO and daughter of Huawei’s founder, on a US extradition request as a “despicable rogue’s approach” to contain Chinese ambitions. Nationalist tabloid Global Times wrote, “Washington is resorting to a despicable rogue’s approach as it cannot stop Huawei.”
