Senior Congress leaders in Rajasthan

Rajasthan is a joint victory of both the veteran former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and state chief Sachin Pilot. Gehlot’s rule as chief minister between 2008 and 2013 was compared favourably with that of the current incumbent, Vasundhara Raje. He is seen as accessible and has a mass connect. Pilot worked incredibly hard for four years, rebuilt the organisation and led from the front. Both will compete to become CM. But it is clear that the party needs both leaders to work in conjunction to replicate the success in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Gandhi can be expected to find space for both in different ways.
