WILL LAUNCH CONTACT DRIVE, SAYS MAND

-

Reiterating that the Bargari Insaaf Morcha has not ended, Mand said they will launch a public contact programme from Fatehgarh Sahib on December 20 as the next phase of the stir. Except Simranjit Singh Mann-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Mohkam Singh-led United Akali Dal (UAD), no representative of Sikh outfits such as the Dal Khalsa, which supported the Bargari sit-in, came along with Mand who was accompanied by a sizeable number of the supporters. “Thanks to the Bargari morcha, the state government had to make the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report public in the assembly and arrest the sacrilege accused. It brought the entire Sikh community on a single platform,” Mand said while interacting with mediapersons. Hinting at floating political party, he said, “Political scenario in the state is not good. We assure of creating a platform to provide respite to people.”
