Thieves make off with 200 rice bags from godown

MOGA : A week after thieves made off with 200 basmati rice bags from the godown of a private export firm in Dharamkot, 16km from the city, police have booked unidentified persons for theft. Complainant Sudhir Kumar, of Parwana Nagar in Moga, is the owner of the godown and has told the police that of 9,000 bags, 200 bags worth ₹7.5 lakh were stolen on the intervening night of December 3 and 4. A case has been registered.
