₹1 LAKH TO SCHOOLS WHOSE STUDENTS JOIN NDA, IMA
An incentive of ₹1 lakh will be given to every school, college and educational institution of Punjab affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Punjab School Education Board and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, whose student/ students join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA) or the Officer Training Academy (OTA).
The Punjab government has already issued a notification in this regard, said Ludhiana deputy commissioner Pardeep Kumar Agrawal. He said the incentive is only for a single academic year.
If one or more students of any school or college and educational institute of the state join the NDA, IMA or the OTA, the institute will get ₹1 lakh, said the DC, adding that the institutes are not entitled to the incentive according to the number of students.
In case of NDA/Naval Academy and Technical Entry Scheme (10+2 tech entry) of the army where 10+2 is the qualification criteria, the incentive will be given to the school.
