BODY OF MISSING DRIVER FOUND IN RAJOURI

JAMMU:A 29-year-old driver who went missing in December, was found dead in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Ram Chander alias Vicky, was a resident of Siot tehsil of Nowshera .

Police said the body was recovered from a stream in Lamberi village. The deceased had been missing since December 2.

The body was shifted to a sub-district hospital in Nowshera and was handed over to the family after post-moterm examination.

Meanwhile, family members and relatives of the victim blocked the Jammu-Poonch highway, demanding a thorough probe, alleging that the victim was murdered.

The blockade was lifted after assurance from senior police officers administration.Police said that the missing complaint was lodged on December 9, a week after the victim went missing.

“The cause of death will be known after the post mortem. An investigation has been initiated in the matter,” police said.
