YOGI’S RHETORIC LIABILITY

In his article, Yogi is now Modi’s biggest blunder (HT, Dec 11), Shekhar Gupta has convincingly concluded that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has outlived his utility in electoral politics for the BJP. Yogi helped the party win a majority of seats in the 2014 general election in UP and subsequently was able to win the assembly elections. But now people want ache din. Worse, Yogi’s right-wing rhetoric is proving to be the BJP’s undoing. It’s evident from the results of the five states. Yogi will not let his political masters disown him so easily and so fast.
