SANGRUR : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rebel MLA and former leader of opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Wednesday said the Bargari morcha should have not been called off by trusting the promises made by the Congress ministers.

Khaira, who is leading the Insaaf March (March for justice) that entered Sangrur district from Barnala on Wednesday, said, “If chief minister Amarinder Singh forgets his promises after taking oath of ‘gutka’, we cannot trust his ministers. The Bargari morcha should have continued. I have doubts that the Congress government will not take action against the sacrilege culprits citing some excuse.”

“Like-minded people will gather in Patiala on December 16 and we will prepare the next course of action,” he said.

He also lashed out at AAP chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, saying the party has adopted the motto of “use and throw”.

“They (AAP’s Delhi leadership) have destroyed many leaders. I think Kejriwal is going to support the Congress during the parliamentary elections. If they cobble up an alliance, it will prove that Kejriwal has given up his ideology,” he said.
