Rohtak, Dadri residents hope for ministerial berths
ROHTAK : Despite BJP’s poor performance in Rohtak, Sonepat and Dadri districts in the recent assembly polls, the supporters of the BJP in these districts are still expecting ministerial berths in BJP-JJP coalition government.
The BJP failed to open its account in Rohtak and Dadri districts. In Sonepat, BJP nominee Nirmal Rani won from Ganaur and Mohan Lal Badoli from Rai. BJP rebels Balraj Kundu won from Meham and Sombir Sangwan from Dadri as independents and now they are extending support to their parent party.
Ankur Malik of Ganaur said they are expecting a ministerial berth for Nirmal Rani as she is the only woman MLA of BJP from the GT Road belt and she defeated former speaker Kuldeep Sharma, a confidant of former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
“Our constituency deserves a cabinet berth this time and having a minister from the area will ensure development,” he added.
Vikas Dangi of Madina village in Meham said the saffron part had done a mistake by not giving party ticket to Balraj Kundu, and it was good that he is extending support to the party. “Kundu is running 14 buses which ferry girl students free of cost from various villages of the district to MDU and other colleges in Rohtak. He is the only non-Congress MLA from Rohtak and Jhajjar districts and we are hoping that CM will reward him with a ministerial berth,” he added.
Devender Singhof Ranila village in Dadri district, said their legislator Sombir Sangwan was committed to social works. “Sangwan has been providing drinking water through water tankers in Dadri city and Charkhi village for many years. We want that the BJP-JJP government give him a ministerial berth,” he said.
