First-timer BJP MLA from Faridabad Narender Gupta surprised the House when he took out his mobile phone and started reading out his comments on governor’s address. Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala later espoused the appropriate use of such gadgets and digitalisation.

A rush job

Several members were all smiles when senior Congress MLA Raghuvir Singh Kadian said it was just an 11-and-ahalf-page address by the governor, which “itself showed it was a rush job”.

Stern warning

The House burst into peals of laughter when INLD MLA Abhay Chautala, on being interrupted by some members, said, “Meri baat sun lo, nahin to mein kuchh keh dunga (Listen to me, else I would say something hurtful).”

‘Give me a cheer’

On getting no response from his party legislators, BJP’s MLA from Hisar, Kamal Gupta, loudly asked for a round of applause in the House during his discussion.
