AMRITSAR : The local administra­tion on Sunday sent 276 residents of Jammu and Kashmir, stranded in the district, back to the newlycreat­ed Union Territory. Deputy commission­er Shivdular Singh Dhillon said, “Due to Ramadan, these people were keen to return to their homes. Giving respect to their religious rituals, we provided them free buses to help them go back. They left from Amritsar bus terminal and would be dropped up to Kathua. .
