No vehicles will enter markets in Bathinda: DC

BATHINDA: The district administra­tion has decided to continue with 6am as the time to open shops. DC B Srinivasan said the decision was taken in view of 36 Covid-19 cases in Bathinda. “After relaxation on Saturday, it was observed that social distancing was not followed by residents. We have now decided that vehicles will not enter market areas even during relaxation period,” the DC said. On Monday, not much overcrowdi­ng was witnessed in the markets. After relaxation, markets in Bathinda, Faridkot, Moga and Ferozepur started witnessing footfall. Also, liquor shops remained closed in region as formal orders have not been issued so far.
