DISORDER UNLOCKED ON STREETS

-

As the country entered Day 41 of nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic on Monday, several states saw people crowding liquor shops flouting social distancing norms. Meanwhile, following a relaxation of curbs across the country, several businesses opened leading to traffic snarls at state borders, even as residents flocked vegetable markets and grocery stores to stock up on essentials. The lockdown, first imposed on March 25 was extended till May 3, is scheduled to end on May 17, following a graded easing of restrictions in states.
