‘Allow opening of malls in green zones of Haryana, Punjab’
CHANDIGARH: The Shopping Centres’ Association of India has reached out to the Punjab and Haryana governments with a set of SoPs to reopen the shopping malls. Its chairman Amitabh Taneja said, “We are hopeful the governments will intervene to support shopping centres to protect livelihoods of 12 million employees.” A spokesperson said, “Shopping malls must be allowed to open in green zones as they can provide a safe environment and enforce the social distancing norms.”
