LABOURER FOUND COVID +VE AFTER DEATH IN PANIPAT

KARNAL:: A 28-year-old migrant labourer died due to Covid-19 in Panipat on Thursday, health department officials said. He was tested positive for the virus hours after his death.

This is the second death in the district as a youth from Deenanath colony had died on Wednesday. The labourer was a native of Bihar and was living alone in Jattipur village. Chief medical officer Sant Lal Verma said, “He had symptoms of tuberculosis but his samples were sent for Covid-19 test, which came out positive.”

He was cremated by a special team of health officials as per protocol. Officials said source of infection is yet to be traced but they suspect he might have visited Delhi to meet his uncle.
