PUNJAB RELEASES ALLOCATED STOCK
CHANDIGARH : Under the government’s directions to ensure that no beneficiary remains deprived of the scheme of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Punjab has taken immediate steps in the state and Chandigarh and approved for release of its entire allocated quantity of stocks. Out of total 2 lakh metric ton (MT) valued at approximately ₹594 crore, around one lakh MT stocks have been lifted by Punjab government and around 4,000 MT stocks have been lifted by Chandigarh.
