SONU DONATES PPE KITS TO DOCTORS

- Titas Chowdhury

For Sonu Sood, helping the needy, and frontline workers has become a priority. In his mission to help people from all corners of India, he has been feeding underprivileged people on a daily basis. To mark the holy month of Ramzan, he has provided meal kits to migrants in Bhiwandi area of Mumbai.

Taking his social responsibility ahead, he recently donated about 1,500 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to medical forces across the rural and the urban areas of Punjab. He is currently in touch with the local government bodies and health officials to quicken the process of distribution.

Talking about it, Sood says, “After doing my bit for people in Mumbai and its surrounding areas, I decided to provide PPE kits to doctors in Punjab which will not only reach the main cities but the villages as well. It is the need of the hour and I wish to help in every possible way.”

A month ago, he offered his hotel in Juhu for the accommodation of the healthcare staffs. The actor says that the health crisis has unified the country and it is a chance to bring out the Good Samaritans in us to the fore. “The one good thing that coronavirus has done for us, is to remind that as Indians, we are all together in this, and nothing can break us till the time we have each other’s support,” he asserts.
