8 HELD WITHIN 6 HOURS OF SANGRUR MAN’S MURDER

The police on Monday arrested eight persons for allegedly murdering their neighbour in Dhuri town of the district. The incident took place on Sunday night when the accused allegedly attacked Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Janta Nagar area of Dhuri, with sharp-edged weapons. Gurdeep was rushed to the Dhuri civil hospital, but succumbed to his wounds. The accused have been identified as Nikki, Akashdeep Singh, Jashandeep Singh, Harshdeep Singh, Simrandeep Singh, Baljit Singh, Sagar and Sahil Qureshi — all from Dhuri. As per the police, deceased’s wife Harpreet Kaur had a dispute with key accused Nikki, Akashdeep and Jashandeep over loan deeds. HTC
