3 MIGRANT KIDS PLAYING ON TRACKS RUN OVER IN HISAR

HISAR: Three children playing on tracks were crushed to death by a rail engine in Hisar on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Ajit Kumar, his brother Golu, 4, and their neighbour Ravi, 10. Manoj Kumar, a Bihar resident who works as a labourer in the Satya Nagar area here, said his sons Ajit and Golu had gone out to play along with Ravi, whose family also hails from Bihar. “Around 5.30 pm, we came to know that the three children have been run over,” he added.

The railway police have sent the bodies for autopsy to the general hospital here.

Sub-inspector Chandi Ram, who reached the spot, said: “Locals told us that the playing on the tracks when the engine, coming from the Adampur side, ran over them.”
