WHAT’S A GEO-FENCE

A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. It has been made mandatory for the patients in home isolation in Haryana. This means that besides pasting ‘positive case’ notices outside the houses of Covid-19 patients and stamping their hands, the authorities will ask patients to download ‘Aarogya Setu’ mobile app, which will ensure that the patients remain isolated in their homes and do not go out to mingle with others.
