Lockdown is like any other day for me: Karan

- Rishabh Suri rishabh.suri@htlive.com

Actor Karan Wahi has been living by himself for 16 years now, and hence, the lockdown is like “just another day” for him. “I’m not doing anything different; it’s like how others are keeping themselves busy. Even otherwise, when I didn’t have work, I’d always be at home. The only difference is none of the friends who would visit can come now,” he tells us.

A new project starring Wahi and actor Lara Dutta Bhupathi recently went live, and saw positive response. The actor reveals that the cast and crew had to complete the postproduction and dubbing at home to meet the deadline.

“Makers wanted it to come out at this time (lockdown). What might just happen after this period is over is that most of the people wouldn’t want to sit at home. It was a good way, through which people will watch it at least, that’s our aim. That’s your primary aim, whether they like it or not, it’s their call,” he shares.

Wahi, 33, has also managed to do his bit for the society. “People are trying to do their bit by giving food and money. But most of us are limited with our resources. One has to think about themselves, too. So, I put it out there that I’m open to collaborations on social media, if they deposit money directly into the account of an NGO,” he explains.
