Malerkotla mill workers protest enters Day 2

SANGRUR : The protest of around 400 migrant workers against the management of a private mill, Arihant Spinning Mill, entered into the second day in Malerkotla on Wednesday. Among their chief demands are the revocation of salary cut imposed on those who could not join duty for some days when the mill re-opened; hike in salary; transfer of three mill officials and putting a stop to ration being sold at excessive rates at the canteen inside the facility. Meetings were being held between officials of the district administration, mill representatives and migrant labourers on Tuesday.
