Bobby Deol was slated to start shooting for his web series and fly to Maldives for his friend’s 50th birthday, but the Covid-19 outbreak played spoilsport. While he’s happy that his kids and nephews are home, the actor is missing his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, who left for Lonavala just before the lockdown was imposed.

“He is 84 and we are worried about his health. But, we are thinking positive. He’s in a safe zone, away from outsiders’ reach, with my mother and chachi. We connect on video call, and seeing him growing organic vegetables in his paradise makes us feel so happy,” Deol, 51, shares.

While there is uncertainty on how things will pan out after restrictions are lifted, Deol feels this crisis has created a Catch-22 situation for everyone to survive. “There are two things which could destroy us: the falling economy or Covid-19. So we’ve to work on one thing to make the other work. In this case, eradicate this disease and then go on to achieve whatever you have to,” he opines.

The actor is, however, hopeful that soon, everything will be back on track. “It might be a slow start, but we should continue following preventive guidelines. The world has been through a lot of crisis many times before and has always come out stronger. So I’m sure that showbiz and the world will come out stronger,” he says.
