AMRITSAR: Three armed men with muffled faces looted ₹10.9 lakh from a branch of IndusInd Bank at Sohian Kalan village in Majitha sub-division on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the incident took place at 1:20pm when the accused barged into the bank and took manager Karan Kumar and office boy Lovepreet Singh at gunpoint, held them hostage after tying their hands and feet with strings, before scooting with the said cash from the strong room.

According to the eyewitnesses, four men came in a white Chevrolet car, three entered the bank and one stayed back in the car outside.

Some shopkeepers got suspicious when the accused left the place in a rush, and they entered the bank and freed the manager and the office boy.
