4 booked for quarantine violation in Jammu

JAMMU: The Samba Police on Thursday booked four persons at Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana for violating the quarantine rules and not reporting to their designated administrative quarantine centre. “All four persons were checked at Lakhanpur corridor on May 26 and were asked to report at the quarantine centre in Thandi Khui, Vijaypur. But they did not report at the centre,” said police. They have been booked under Sections 269, 270, 271, 188 of the IPC and 51B of the Disaster Management Act. “The violators knew that the disease is contagious. All four have been traced and placed at the quarantine centre immediately,” police added.
